Use

Unlike other types of translucent rice, glutinous rice is opaque when raw. Due to its stickiness, this rice is also used ground into flour and cooked as a paste as a thickener in sauces and desserts. Put 2 cups of glutinous rice in a large bowl. Add 6 cups of cold water. Allow it to soak for at least 8 to 24 hours. For the fastest brew time, soak in hot water for 3 hours. Drain the rice and put in a steamer. Cook for 25 minutes or until rice is tender. After the cooking process, you will have 4 1/2 cups of delicious sticky rice. Put the cooked rice in a bamboo basket or bowl, covered with a cloth to keep it warm and prevent it from drying out.
